About MeWhat a liberation to realize that the 'voice in my head' is not who I am. 'Who am I, then?' The one who sees that." Eckhart Tolle As a writer and speaker I am passionate about sharing how one's focus, feelings and perspective influence the quality of life. Let's face it, life is hard. However, the lens through which we view things can soften some of the rough edges. I received my Masters degree in Communication from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with an emphasis on the Performance of Literature and Interpersonal Communication. The majority of my professional career has been in local, county and state services to older adults. Being around the wisdom of seniors has enriched my life beyond measure and helped me see things from a longer term perspective. I specialize in helping people deepen inner compassion, see things from various perspectives, and work with the inner critic in a way that doesn't try to silence, tame or disconnect from it. Utilizing Richard Swartz Internal Family Systems, Peter Levine's trauma work, and the power of inner focusing, I can help smooth your path as you navigate through your world. |
